Tasting - The Crossing Sauvignon Blanc
Name: The Crossing Sauvignon Blanc
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Medway
Country: New Zealand
Year: 2011
Price: $16.95
Robert Parker Review: "The Crossings 2011 Sauvignon Blance presents a pronounced nose of passion fruit, pink grapefruit, and bay leaf with a slightly sweaty/ musky undercurrent. Medium bodied, crisp and with a good concentration of apple and citrus flavors, it finishes medium-long. Drink it now to 2013. 86 Points."
My Review: This was my first tasting at the Gourmet Pantry in Blacksburg. On the nose it was flowery, with hints of grapefruit. Citrus coupled with sweet flavors and a smooth, clean finish. I did not have this wine with food.
